Zana AKA Zee, found the passion for her gift at the early age of 8 years old. She knew one day she wanted to be a salon owner to make women feel beautiful and empowered.
In middle school, as she was watching music videos with her friends, she paid attention to how much hair played a role in the beauty and confidence of fashion.
She realized how much of an adornment hair was and insisted on trying different hairstyles on herself and her young friends. Zana loved to use her creativity to enhance the looks of her friends to make them feel beautiful and uplifted.
As Zana’s peers began to demand more of her time for her talents, Zana grew a reputation for her gift of being able style and braid hair, and began serving others to make money. This gave her the experience and confidence to start her own braiding business at just 12 years old.
As her clientele grew and her craft became better, Zana realized the potential in the dream. In high school Zana grew very close to her cosmetology instructor Mrs. Fowler, who recognized Zana’s passion and dedication. Mrs. Fowler recommended Zana to her first job at a Marietta hair salon. It was there that Zana fell in love with the art of hair color.
After gaining two years of hair color experience in the salon,
Zana- now a young mother- enrolled at Atlanta Technical College cosmetology school in the city of Atlanta, where she also took a job at a very popular Atlanta hair salon. As an assistant, she learned the craft of hair extensions and hair straightening.
Zee spent her time juggling the demands of early motherhood, school and assisting at the salon for another two years, before she graduated from cosmetology school at the Atlanta Technical College.
Once she obtained her Master Cosmetology license in 2017, Zee worked as a hairstylist at several salons surrounding the metro Atlanta area. She received an abundance of hands-on experience from some of Atlanta’s most popular artists at the time, further cultivating her craft and strengthening her business mindset.
But from TV sets, photoshoots to weddings, Zee still hadn’t found her place to ‘belong’ in the industry. Zee opened her first salon studio in 2018 to create her own environment for growth, as she continued to learn and educate herself.
Regardless of whether a guest is interested in sew-in extensions or a soft highlight, Zee’s attitude remains that “Hairstyling is more than just a technical skill. It involves effective communication with clients to achieve their best look.” It’s her philosophy to enhance a person’s individual beauty and make life a little less complicated.
With a passion for hair and people, Zana Cook has a strong vision for the hair industry and aims to be a pioneer with strong business fundamentals, integrity, values, and a nonstop education.
Zee believes that the best service anyone can provide is a guest experience. It is her philosophy that providing a great guest experience cultivates a richer artist/guest relationship and a stronger loyalty than talents alone.
Whether Zee is in the salon or on location, her goal is always a memorable experience!
“I have something special to share with the world. I owe it to myself, my son, and all of my mentors, to prove that we can elevate the industry not just as a luxury but a kind of therapy that is essential to our women!”

Brandi’s passion for hair was sparked at the tender age of five years old when she would watch her grandmother plait her long jet-black hair as a part of her nighttime routine. This routine fascinated young Brandi and one day led to her asking her grandmother to teach her how to plait as well.
It was during this lesson, something special in Brandi was set ablaze and marked the beginning of her deep-seated passion and discovery for hair.
By age thirteen, Brandi’s passion grew from within the confines of her intermediate village and word got out she was the neighborhood “hair genie.” She was servicing not only her friends, but other peers, their siblings and on occasion, adults too.
Adolescent Brandi typically came to a daily crossroad of having to choose between servicing her guests or completing homework… and doing hair (with her parents’ approval) seemed to always win this daily battle.
This conflict of interest between the demands of school and Brandi’s burning passion for a career in cosmetology soon came to an end when Brandi was granted the rare opportunity to graduate high school at the young age of sixteen to pursue her lifelong dream.
Two brief months passed after graduating high school and Brandi was soon enrolled in Robert’s School of Cosmetology, a private school in the heart of Atlanta- where she was the youngest student to ever grace the campus.
This itself, came with its own set of unique challenges but young Brandi who was quite the rebel at heart, never saw obstacles as a means of escape, but an opportunity to prove herself.
During her courses, Brandi’s niche became more prevalent and she realized she had a deep fascination with the science of haircare, art of hair color and technical skills hair cutting required.
This fascination often led to her being off task, but cosmetology instructor Mr. Robert saw this an opportunity to help her refine her skills. Mr. Robert constantly drilled theory to his students and made it very clear that understanding the science of hair is the foundation for every masterpiece.
Upon graduating her program at the age of seventeen, Brandi was hired as a junior hairstylist at Platinum Plus Hair Salon where she was under the leadership of Ta’Nita Gunn.
Under Ta’nita’s leadership, Brandi learned guest relations, marketing, client retention, proper salon protocol and time management. In addition to these soft skills, she also learned the art of precision haircutting and how to perform detailed work consistently and efficiently.
After time well spent at Platinum Plus, Brandi parted ways and worked at two more Atlanta salons before opening her first studio in 2014. This was the beginning of a massive turning point where Brandi became increasingly fascinated with the entrepreneurial elements of the cosmetology industry. This led her to enrolling in the University of Phoenix Undergraduate program where she obtained an associate degree in Business Management.
Soon after graduating her associate program, Brandi opened her second studio by name of The Chateau Salon- a moniker she will always carry with her because she got her initial start right from the comfort of her own home.
Brandi believes in having a clearly defined “why” as it relates to any decision you make in life. Her goal with every encounter is to leave a lasting impression and make people aware of their God given uniqueness that cannot be duplicated.
She has created a lane of speaking to women through the beauty and therapy haircare provides and hopes to continue touching as many lives as possible.
“Self-care is self-love. I love helping women see themselves in a fresh new light with their own God given tresses. It’s nothing short of magic.”
